Lacey Library Quilt Show

Sally and Nancy are coordinating our half of the show, which will be up Aug 30-Oct 4. Quilts should be taken to the library on Aug 29. They’ll be taken down Oct. 5 or so. Quilts need a 4” sleeve with an opening in the middle and identifying label attached to the back. No quilt will be hung without those.

Nancy will need info about your quilt by Aug 25. Plan to email her your quilt's title and what inspired it. (We know this goes without saying, but please be culturally, etc. respectful about the quilt you show and its name and description. There was one worrisome quilt title in the past. The quilt was fine, but the title made them worry about cultural appropriation.) The library staff will put together a brochure for patrons.

The bays are large enough to fit quilts up to double sized. (According to different charts, that’s either 78”x87” or 84”x90” or 85”x108”.) It lets us showcase our big quilts; the Ruby Street Art Quilters will have small quilty things in display cases.
